Fathful place by “Tana French”
I first discovered this author from her debut novel “in the woods”. This was a chance acquisition in the bookstore in San Francisco airport. Incidentally that was the single redeeming feature of that city. That book was superb and the second outing “faithful place” is a tightly written family thriller set in a tight-knit Dublin family. It is excellent but has taken me forever to read thanks to the fact that I have been reading it at work. There is a lot of jealousy at work in the Mackey and Daly families and this underpins the murders which take place. I didn’t spot where the answer was coming from but I guess that may have been in part due to the lack of flow to my reading.
I’ll pick a new “book for work” but am suspecting that it might be the works of “George Eliot” , as these are not the best for bedtime!
I have started “midnight” by Stephen leather at home. This will be a quick and easy read.
