The sweet perfume of success

Just finished a brilliant children’s book “mr stink” by David Walliams. It’s a great book and casts a wry look at middle class values in our society. There is more to this little tale than meets the eye and it is keenly observed. Don’t be fooled by the apparent simplicity and superficial veneer of language aimed at children, this book carries a depth charge. I loved it and would quite happily read another but if I have to deal with one more mrs crumb ( it’s pronounced ‘Crooooome’), I might just have to deliver an anti-snobbery tirade.
