When I think of stars I can either think of little twinkling lights which might be a little insignificant or of BRIGHT shining blazes. It depends on my perspective. I guess I felt a little bit the same about the characters in this book. It is a series of biographies of Christians who have had a particularly strong and significant story. At least, that is what I suspect the author thinks.
I felt that some of the stories were just a little bland whilst others deserved better treatment. On the whole there was a degree of interest in each of them but the writing style left me feeling that each and every one of them was a rather dry and two-dimensional character. As introductions, I’m afraid I’d now avoid reading further about any of these characters, which is probably a shame.
